9Wells House & Gardens

Located in Ballyedmond, Gorey, Co. Wexford is just over a 20 minute drive from Talbot Suites at Stonebridge and waiting to be explored is Wells House & Gardens, a Great Victorian House and Gardens in the heart of Wexford. Wells House has something for all generations to enjoy and share including Woodland Walks, Victorian Terrace Gardens, Adventure Playground, Living Victorian House Tour, Archery, Falconry, Craft Courtyard or enjoy a coffee in The Oak Tree.

6The Irish National Heritage Park

If visiting Wexford, a visit to the Irish National Heritage Park is a must. Surprises await around every corner as you explore 35 acres of this remarkable heritage trail. From campsite to Ringfort, from mill to Fulacht Fiadh, from Crannog to Viking house, every activity is an unexpected adventure into 9000 years. This world you enter is an authentic recreation of Ireland’s heritage. Homesteads, places of ritual, burial modes and long forgotten remains will enlighten the tourist and interest the scholar. 7The Dunbrody Famine Ship

The visitor experience provides a unique insight into a period of history which shaped modern day Ireland and America. Hear the historic background to the Great Famine, and the reason why so many people were forced to emigrate to America on sailing ships like Dunbrody in the mid-19th century. Become a passenger with a ticket issued to you as if it were 1849 allocating your space and food rations for the voyage ahead. Explore the ship fitted out exactly as it would be for a voyage. You will encounter actors, playing the role of emigrants, in their cramped quarters with their meager possessions. Hear their harrowing stories of being forced to emigrate.

11Kia Ora Mini Farm 

On their day at Kia Ora Mini Farm, the children can hold and feed a variety of live pet animals such as rabbits, poultry, sheep, pot bellied pigs amongst many others. Their shed has a fantastic selection of birds and animals and is indoors so no matter what the weather is like you can come and have fun and see all the cute little animals in the barn. They also have a tractor area where the younger children can trundle about and even do a bit of digging in our special digging pit! For the slightly older kids we have a special racing track to race the rough riders on and it is all enclosed so they can race without fear of bumping into anyone small. They can also race to milk our milking cow.

12Sew Fun Studios

Sew Fun Studios Wexford teaches the principles of fashion design and the art of sewing to girls and boys aged 6 – 13 years through creative camps, birthday parties, in-school workshops and after-school classes. Their aim is to celebrate sewing as a cool, relevant and creative activity for young people. Located on Paul Quay near Talbot Suites at Stonebridge, Sew Fun Studios is an ideal spot on a rainy day or if the kids want to be creative. Discounts available for Talbot Suites Guests.

While the exquisite 19th century Victorian castle is not open to the public, the estate is nestled within 50 acres of ornamental grounds. Enjoy a stroll through the wooded grounds with over 200 different kinds of trees and shrubs, or why not relax by the castle lakeside with its Gothic towers and waterfalls. Bring a picnic and make a family day of it. 

10Bricks 4 Kidz

At Bricks 4 Kidz, they ignite imaginative minds and take team work to a whole new level. From the moment children enter the state of the art creativity centre on Paul Quay, near Talbot Suites at Stonebridge, the fun takes off in every direction. There are hundreds of enjoyable, challenging and awe inspiring LEGO models to build. Secret Valley Wildlife Park is the only fully licensed zoo and Wildlife Park in the South East. Ann O’Connor and her husband, John set up the original farm in 2007 and it has since grown from strength to strength. The passion that Ann and her staff have for the animals and environment is clearly evident from the moment the visitor is welcomed into the grounds. With fourteen areas of beautiful countryside, the Park has plenty of room for expansion and is growing .  We have a great range of animals at the Wildlife Park such as monkeys, raccoons, lemurs, rabbits, goats, donkeys, horses, alpacas, llamas, guinea pigs, prairie dogs, skunks and more. With other 40 different species amounting to 200 animals at the park there is plenty to do and see! Activities are aplenty from riding ponies, arts & crafts, riding on a quad-bike, feeding kid goats, treasure hunts etc.
